Webhooks

Webhooks are used to automatically send real-time notifications to external systems when specific events occur, such as product updates or order changes. When triggered, BFG sends an HTTP POST request to your configured URL.

When you are subscribed to a BFG webhook, you will receive automatic updates about the following events:

• Products
• Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies
• MAP promotions and its products
• Federal firearms licenses and its files

Requirements

To manage webhooks, you must have the following:

• Your bearer key authentication from BFG.
• Manage, view, create, and delete permissions in your API credential. For details, go to Groups and permissions.
• An endpoint that can receive a JSON call or an HTTP POST.

Creating a webhook

1. In the sidebar, select Settings.
2. On the Settings page, click Webhooks.
3. On the All Webhooks page, click Create New.
4. On the Create A Webhook page, specify the following:
   • Title: Your webhook name.
   • URL: Your endpoint.
   • Events: The BFG activity or update you want to receive alerts for. You can select multiple events.
5. Optionally, if you don't want to activate the webhook immediately, select the Pause checkbox.
6. Click Save.

Editing a webhook

1. On the All Webhooks page, click Edit in the row of a webhook.
2. On the Edit Webhook page, edit the information you want.
3. Click Update.

Deleting a webhook

1. On the All Webhooks page, select a checkbox of a webhook.
2. Click Delete Webhook.
3. In the Are you sure? dialog, click Yes.
